Tea is relatively new to Shan Lin Xi in Lugu Township, Taiwan. With only twenty-five years of growing history the soil is mineral rich and fosters a diverse host of flora and fauna. The garden gets direct morning sunlight and rolling afternoon fog compounding amino acid development. The processing is done 300m lower for higher humidity and more intact leaf. A thick and buttery mouthfeel gives way to notes of bamboo, kiwi, and jasmine.

Huge silky body. Lots of buttery florality going on, but still crisp and green.
Notes of cucumber and jasmine. I’m most impressed by the way this tea finishes. It’s satisfying, smooth, mouth watering, and I can’t help but take another drink.
It’s not the most complex Taiwanese oolong that I have had, and a little flat at that, but for that silky body it’s worth my recommendation.
