From SpecialTeas

This Fancy Formosa Oolong has a nice, pale amber cup color and a full, round, fruity flavor. Its quality is superior to many “higher rated” and more expensive varieties. Certified Organic and a solid “everyday” Oolong at a great price!

Recommendations: Use 2 level tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh, cold water to boiling point; let steep for 2-3 min.

I bumped up the rating for this. I steeped it in my gaiwan again for a shorter time and higher temperature. The flavor was subtle but strong. It wasn’t bitter at all this time. It reminds me of autumn and of the first time I tried formosa oolong. Good tea! There is snow all around, and this roasty, toasty tea is what I needed.

I just realized the smell memory that a lot of these Oolongs evoke. When I used to do oil painting there was some common aroma among the linseed oil, turpentine and paints that I find in this tea too.

this tea is quite good, but i’ve tasted definitely much better oolongs, the smell is very flower like and calm. edit: the oolong kwai flower changed my mind about this one. I am not into oolongs anyhow, but kwai flower tastes much better.
