My SweeTea JoeCool sent me a wonderful package from Sands of Thyme. I was having difficulties deciding which tea to sip on first, so I sniff tested all of the teas. This one smelled so deliciously of coconut and bananas that I had to have it right away.

The banana aroma carries over nicely into the steeped tea as does the coconut. There is a natural sweetness to this tea that was enjoyable. The base tastes like a ceylon, just a smooth plain tea, no malt. It was a good choice for blending with these flavors.

I also tried with creamer and it tasted like a banana shake with tea. Yum. This was definitely a winner! I’m happy to have some in my tea cupboard.

This is my last cup of this, so let’s see if we can’t add anything else:

The coconut is subtle, which is a good thing, because sometimes the coconut gets too strong and has a sickly chemical taste to me. Maybe that is just artificial coconut in other teas but in this one it is good. It helps the banana flavor be more banana I think. I don’t see any cornflower blossoms in the bit of tea I steeped (about a teaspoon and a half). This is a nice sweet and creamy tea. There was a big ol banana chip in my steep. But again, the black tea isn’t strong, but if it was it wouldn’t help the banana stand out. This tea is good! I think I’ll up the rating a bit.

This tea has a fantastic banana flavor. I would like for my other banana teas to taste like this! The thing that bothers me, though, is the black tea doesn’t taste very “fresh” or of good quality. The base really brings down the cup of tea.. making it just okay. Thank you to JoeCool for sharing!

Very yummy tea has a nice balance of banana without being overpowering. It also smells wonderful. Definitely good enough to order again (and I did !).
