From Rishi Tea

Maghreb Mint, Organic Fair Trade Green Tea Maghreb Mint is one of our first mint blends and it remains one of our most popular. It is exotic with a full-bodied sweetness, bold mint flavor and zesty notes of cardamom, ginger and spices. Maghreb Mint can be infused like tea or boiled North African style with sugar, water and/or prepared with milk like Indian Masala Chai. Made strong and sweetened, this blend soothes the sinuses and throat.

From the HHTTB2

I didn’t pay super close attention to this tea while I was drinking it because I was reading other people’s tea notes while sipping. What I can say is this is good and fairly spicy. It reminds me a lot of DT’s North African Mint. Also, this tea sweetened with a teaspoon of sugar is excellent with Smartfood’s White Cheddar Popcorn. Seriously good.

The directions said to steep in boiling water, but I waited a few minuets for the water to cool since there is green tea in the blend. I think steeping in boiling water would cause the tea to go bitter fairly quickly.

disappointment. Im just not a fan of the flavor profile, little bit too much. I enjoyed the Moroccan mint much more!.

Definitely one of my favorites. Refreshing and richly spiced without any “natural flavorings” just spices and herbs. It makes an absolutely delicious minty latte with honey and cream.

This overbrews in a heartbeat… and since I overbrew things at the drop of a hat… not a good combo. Decently spicey+minty if you brew it right, but I’d rather go straight chai for spice or straight mint if I’m in the mood.

Tried this with honey this time. Honey smoothes out some of the spice making it resemble a more traditional Moroccan mint but still with a little something extra. Honey and licorice result in a silky smooth mouth feel.

My household cannot function unless there’s a bag of this in the cupboard. Spicy, sweet, and earthy with just a tiny touch of caffeine. It’s delicious all of the time, but it’s particularly great if you have indigestion or a cold. Plus, the chocolate chip cookie recipe that incorporates Maghreb Mint-infused butter is just incredible – try it sometime! – http://www.rishi-tea.com/Recipe_02.php
