A rich, sweet breakfast blend of black teas from small family farms of only 4a couple of acres in size, from Kerala in India, Keemun in China and Kumamoto in Japan. Blended to go well with milk, brew this premium breakfast tea with freshly boiled water and a large teaspoon per cup.
ORIGIN: 70% Family Tea (Sahyadri Co-operative (av. 1.5-3 acres), Peermade, Kerala, India)
15% Supernatural Black (Master Matsumoto’s Tea Farm (8 acres), Kumamoto, Japan)
15% Keemun Black (Mr Feng’s Co-Operative (av. 2.5 acres), Fengjialing, Qimen, China)
PLANTS AND PROCESSING: Blend of Camellia Sinensis Sinensis and Camellia Sinensis Assamica.
BREWING GUIDELINE: 95°C, 3-4g per cup, with or without milk. 2 infusions.

I’ve just had two cups back to back of this tea, it’s that good. It is, however, misleadingly named. This is not a bold, breakfast tea. It’s a quiet afternoon friend. I forgot it for over ten minutes to brew during my second brew, and it was still on the lighter side of black teas (not Darj light, but Ceylon light). No caffeine kick here – go for one of Postcard Teas Japanese blacks for that. This is a sweet, rich wonderful afternoon tea, with some astringency, so sugar can help with that.
A great little tea, and a relative newcomer to Postcard Teas’s lineup.
I’ll have to try them sometime. Their product always seems interesting to me when i look at them
