«Da Hong Pao Jilan» («Big Red Robe from Jilan») was made in November of 2018 in Jilan tea farm (Wuyishan tea region, Fujian province).
In appearance: medium-sized, dark brown flagella of twisted leaves. The fragrance is deep, with a roasted accent. The liquor is transparent, with a chestnut shade.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is bright and warm, with notes of roasted bread, creamy caramel and dried fruits. The aroma is deep and rich, complex. The taste is full-bodied and mild, sweetish, with a delicate fiery bitterness, fine fruity acidity and refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (90-95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 6 times.
The effect is warming, moderately tonic, in low concentration – relaxing.
