Each Chinese year is named after a particular animal sign of the zodiac in a 12-year cycle.
Dragon is the representative of the traditional culture of China, it has been a symbol of noble and lucky since ancient times. 2012 is Dragon Year, through 2012 coming year, Dayi Tea Factory made the Dragon’ Spirit animal sign of the zodiac commemorative Pu’er Tea.
The cake is made from high quality big tree’s tea leaves in high mountain, the core producing areas of premier Pu’er Tea in Yunnan province, and by inheriting the crafts of the nationally protected intangible cultural heritage. Drinking this for the first time. Leaf aroma is very gentle compared to some other shengs. It actually looks a little older than it is. It brews a nice golden color with a medium hit of astringency of a young sheng. It gives an almost hint of burnt caramel on the sides of the tongue. It fades into a slightly sweet brew. Hopefully this will age well as I think it is a bit young for now.

Sheng. There is nothing like it….

I never thought I would enjoy sheng after my first experience with it. I really think I just tried a very bad one the first time.
