Another sample of this one.
It’s now sat in the cupboard longer. I don’t get a soapy taste at all this time.
However, it is bitter still.
Brewed 4 minutes and 45 seconds.
Description is fruity with a touch of citrus. The smell is light and bright, but the flavor is strangely heavy, bitter, and tastes as dark as the soul of the blue lady from the teas’ description

Mastress Alita’s sipdown challenge – June Theme: A June Wedding Tea #2

This one fits for NEW and also BLUE.   It’s from my newest order (the only order this year!)    Some of these teas, I just wanted to try because they were $1.   I drank this yesterday.  The description says “tropical” and citrus flavors,  the dry leaf had a very strong grapefruit flavor, drowning out whatever “tropical” flavor notes… I could tell there was another layer to the flavor, but not specifically what it was. The description said the mug should have had “specks of blue”? Didn’t notice/wasn’t looking for them.   A tiny amount of hibiscus is there too, which is all well and fine, nothing overpowering.  The second steep might have been overdone, the flavor was a bit offputting…a bit more like a cleaner than the fresh grapefruit of the first steep.  Of course, I finished the cup anyway.
Steep #1 // 1 1/3 teaspoons for full mug // 20 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 3-4 min

Mastress Alita

I think all my “new” teas will end up being from 2019, as I’ve been drinking almost exclusively from the bazillion 2018 teas I have (my ordering was out of control during 2017 and 2018). Still 2-3 years old, but at least “feels” newer to me, hahaha.
