Holidays TTB: I think the main flavor I get out of this is peony? followed by jasmine. It does have a mild astringency that dries the back of my throat a bit. This has a pleasant, very light, fruity flavor. Looking at the ingredients it is likely that it is currant that I am registering. This is different than anything I can remember having. It’s tasty and worth a look into purchasing.

This is phenomenal. I snuck a look at the reviews before tasting it so I was excited to wait for it to brew (who doesn’t love fun colored teas?) and sure enough it’s a wonderful indigo color!

The floral and fruity notes in this are very well balanced and it’s sweet but not too terribly sweet. I can’t exactly place all the flavors but that’s part of why I enjoy it. The currant is definitely there, along with the passion fruit but it’s not too much to overpower the jasmine/peony base. Definitely, definitely picking up some more of this from Liquid Proust so I can leave the sample in the box for everyone else to try because it’s that good!

This is probably the coolest tea (and one of my favorites) that I have ever acquired. Inspired by a birthday—that’s cool. The liqueur is a turquoise, lavender—that’s cool. The taste is really funky, and I like that. It’s citrussy—like Citrus Party Oolong—but much smoother and tastier. I haven’t cold steeped it yet, but I will in the warmer months.

Out of the 10 or so LP teas that I have this was the first one I tried for the second time. This interesting tea called out my name. I answered that call: Yes, I will drink you. Yes, I will resteep you. But…I will have to throw you away. BUT BUT I will drink you again.

Well this is a fun tea. The insanity part, for me, comes from the color the tea brews up. I was not expecting an electric purple (for the dramatic crowd)/bright lavender(for the pragmatic crowd). The flavor itself is a light, sweet, slightly floral blend though with so many different kinds items in this blend, I have a feeling your tasting experience with be slightly different every time. What fun! This is actually really enjoyable the more that I drink it. It is very smooth and I feel I’m getting a slight tangerine after taste.

Yummers! This tea is hitting all those floral notes and more. So good. Plus, the tea brews up to an almost neon green color. I’m glad I still have a ton of this tea left. I drank it just about the entire day yesterday and plan on taking it to work with me again.

Sorry if this review offends you, but I need to just review it as if I didn’t create it:

The concept that someone made a blend for their birthday is quite interesting so this appeals to me. I saw LP playing around with hibiscus and blue pea flower a few days before creating this blend; something about trying to make a purple tea. For whatever reason, hibiscus did not it into this blend though which is something I should inquire about.
Looking at it causes curiosity: This blend will never be scooped out consistently. My one scoop came with 5 jasmine pearls and two blue pea flowers: http://postimg.org/image/vgahu8a9z/
I’m sure that brewing a different amount of either two of those ingredients would change the taste which makes me wish that this blend was put into tea bags as the blender wanted the tea to be tasted.
For me, the powerful taste that the blue pea flower has takes awhile to get use to. I’m not much of a floral tea drinker, but during the spring/summer I end up finding myself drawn to them.

I’m curious if cold steeping this might lead to less blue pea flower ‘power’.
While the brew has a tint of blue that is pretty cool, I think there needs to be some balancing on the blenders side of this tea or at least some sort of advice for the user (but that would be unfair…)
