A homemade blend from the restaurant L’ Arrêt Du Temp in Athens, Greece. Or at least it is assumed it is a house-made blend. If anyone goes there and knows Greek can you confirm this?

While Greece isn’t the best place to search for tea it does have its random assortment of tea treasures. L’ Arrêt Du Temp is a restaurant located in Athens about 30 walking minutes from the most well known Acropolis in the area. We had some time to kill before meeting our tour group for the first time so naturally I seeked out tea. We were pleasantly surprised. I’m not going to lie I was worried that it would arrive in CTC form at first but the loose leaf infusion did not disappoint. They seem to assume that we know the proper steep time so without proper parameters I decided to go with 3-4 minutes. Seemed just about right. Sweet with a slight astringency. The pear is kind of hidden but the mango dances fully along with the tea leaves. I might have embarrassed my husband a bit as I sat there dissecting the tea. But I wanted to know what leaf they used. High quality it seems. The fuzz is apparent and appreciated. Also their smoked salmon sanwich was amazing.
