From iHeartTeas

In this tea I put in more cream than pumpkin spice to help balance the pumpkin flavor and added a little vanilla. This tea is meant to give you that warm cozy feeling of sitting at the fireplace wrapped in a blanket. Try it with a touch of already warm milk and a dash of sugar/sweetner. It will warm your heart. Enjoy!

Sipdown! 836 (and still counting tea inventory… oyyyy… That 800 goal is a long ways off.)

Anyhow, this tea has lost some flavour since the first time I had it, and so I’m still not a huge fan – I’ve since discovered that Butiki’s pumpkin tea is quite good when it’s not in a sample packet, and I think this tea was similar, although to be honest, if I’m going to have a pumpkiny tea, I want it spiced like pumpkin pie, so the Della Terra ones are still my favourites in that regard.

A piece of chocolate marble cake and a pot of creamy pumpkin spice tea, what could be better?

It smells like spicy pumpkin very autumnal and delicious. Not overly thick either, of medium strength.

Flavour is spicy and sweet with vanilla and pumpkin. A drop of soy milk brings out stronger creaminess. The pumpkin blends in after a few mouthfuls and becomes less noticeable.

I would like a little more spice, perhaps a touch more cinnamon amidst the vanilla. It would make a nice late.

Thank you to Rachel from iHeartTeas for a lovely sample packet of this tea!!
It’s wonderful, truly! The spices mix superbly with the pumpkin, and the vanilla is just fine! (yes, this tea drinker was worried about that part upon reading the ingredients)
The black base is a little soft, but has that certain mallow note which works well in a chai. I wish the base was a touch stronger.
No matter, this is very much like pumpkin pie filling. Very decadent, making me feel as if I’ve had a dessert when really it was a pinch of sugar and some milk! Hmmmm, you know I think it is closer to pumpkin icecream than pie, atleast in the aftertaste.
And something else, other pumpkin teas I’ve tried had a certain “uncooked” feel to them, and to be honest, that is why I stopped looking for a version I enjoyed. Well, this was in the sampler I got, so I didn’t really look for it… but oh yeah am I ever glad it was in there.
Btw, I tried this with milk, but also greatly enjoyed the sip I took when it was sans dairy.
Sighs Ya know you are in love with a tea when you are pouting because the cup is empty! THAT hasn’t happened to me for ages.
When my buying ban is over, I’ll be getting more of this for sure!!!!

Wow! I am thrilled you enjoyed this one. It is my mother in-laws absolute favorite. I have to keep her supplied and when she visits I am always making her this little blend. I personally find it so cozy. Perfect while quietly reading a book.

Indigobloom

Send my thanks to your MIL!! cuz if it weren’t for her, I might not have had a chance to try some :D

JustJames

I have tried 3 pumpkin tea’s, and I think this one out of the three is my favourite. There is a creaminess to this tea that is playing a role keeping the spices in this light. The other two pumpkin tea’s I’ve tried had too much spice. I’m surprised that I like the lighter spiced tea, since I usually prefer bold flavours, but this nicely spiced and delicious.

Aimee Popovacki

ohh that sounds delicious!

Dexter

Interesting. I just love how everyone perceives things differently. I thought this was too mild, didn’t really taste the pumpkin or spices too mild. Happy that it works for you.

I am so glad you enjoyed this. It is a particular favorite of mine and my mother in-law. It also tastes amazing as a stovetop latte.

I got a fantastic box in the mail yesterday from Rachel! it was so hard to decide what to have first, but the I found this one tucked in, and just had to have it.

It’s warm, and just ever so spicy. It’s so creamy, almost like I’ve added creamer to it. The pumpkin is authentic. Delicious!! Thanks, Rachel, for giving me the chance to try this! It’s one of the best pumpkin teas vie ever had!

Using my mother’s iPad. After 15 minutes trying to get it to hit 95, I decided to wait until I had access to a real computer!

I received this as a sample from Scribbles Thank you so much!!!

I’m questing for my perfect pumpkin tea. This isn’t it. Barely any pumpkin flavor, barely any spices. This is more creamy black than anything else. No steeping instructions on their web site. I steeped as I would any flavored black. 1 tsp 98C 4 min.
Crossing it off my list. Thanks scribbles for letting me try it. The quest continues…..

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Sorry it wasn’t your favorite but I am glad you had the chance to try it. You also hit the nail on the head. This is by no means a Pumpkin Chai as it is meant to be lighter. I apologize that there were not any steep instructions online. I have found, in my experience that people have their own preferences so I decided to omit it on my site. For me I found it perfect using 1 heaping teaspoon at 3mins using boiling water. Good luck on your quest to find the perfect pumpkin tea.

Thanks, Nicole_Martin for this tea!

This is an interesting tea. The spices are not in your face and the subtleness works well with the bready, black base and the vanilla. It’s a good tea to start the day with- warms me up on this chilly morning!

Thank you to Rachel for sending me a sampling of this tea to try.

Yummy! I like how this is more creamy than it is pumpkin-y. It’s like a bit of pumpkin pie with a big dollop of whipped cream on top. This is really delicious.

Right off the bat I can smell creamy pumpkin! Thank you Rachel, btw!!! I wasn’t sure if I would like this one but I must say this is special! Just enough pumpkin to have it noticed. It’s very creamy and I can almost pick out a hint of cinnamon. WOW. Very nice surprise! YAY!

Creamy pumpkin makes me think of those little orange pumpkin shaped candies that have the texture of fudge. Didn’t taste like those did it?
