From Fusion Teas

Green leaves, dark-red blossoms and bright fruits shine intensively. Truly a feast for the eyes. Thanks to some select, dried fruits and plants, this herb tea blend has a sweet taste and is very aromatic. In the background hibiscus and ginger softly unfold their typical characteristics. Fruity sweet and spicy fresh flavors ennoble this blend.

Ingredients: Apple pieces, rose hip peel, hibiscus, wild strawberry leaves, lemon myrtle, sweet blackberry leaves, flavoring, ginger pieces, strawberry slices.

Thanks so much to the generous Fusion Tea Room for sending me this free sample.

I’m not even gonna bother rating it, I know fruit teas with hibiscus are not my favorites by far. This was better than I was thinking it would be, it’s gingery with strawberry notes and I think the strawberry/blackberry leaves lend to it a slightly herbal quality. I felt it was too tart for me and I had to add a bit of sugar. It isn’t really to my taste but I am sure some other folks out there would love this. LMK if you’d like a sample.

Travelling Tea Box C

Since I had Butiki’s With Open Eyes this afternoon, I decided to have this tea to compare since they both have strawberry and ginger. With Open Eyes is like a butterscotch covered strawberry, while this tea is like those strawberry hard candies that everyone’s grandmother seems to have in their candy dish. I liked both, but in different ways. I would have with Open Eyes when I’m looking for something more sophisticated and layered. I would. Have Fusion’s version if I was in the mood for something sugary-sweet. I really appreciate that both have an amazing fresh strawberry taste. Good stuff!

This is very tasty! Mostly strawberry with a small amount of ginger underneath. It’s not an artificial strawberry and I am very happy about that. It’s almost like water with fresh strawberries in it! If you can ‘picture that’. The other ingredients such as the apple, hibiscus, blackberry leaves, etc are all very mild but blend together nicely for the overall flavor. Very refreshing! YUM!

Cofftea

I’ve never thought of a strawberry and ginger combo… I’m disappointed there are other ingredients/flavors, but it’s definitely given me ideas for blending of my own.

This is yummy. The hibiscus gives it some color and body without making it too tart. The strawberry dominates and the ginger gradually develops. Not too tart, not too sweet, not too spicy. Just an interesting and comforting cup!

I had a total psychotic break and decided I needed to order all the tea in the world at once – the lucky beneficiary of this late night binge was the Fusion Tea Room, from whom I ordered enough to qualify for free shipping (so: a lot). Shipment just came in, so expect more from me on these guys!

First up is Strawberry Ginger. I don’t usually bother with straight herbals, but this one caught my eye – I like the tummy-soothing properties of ginger but not so much the taste, so mitigating that with strawberry sounded like it might work. And it does! There’s definitely a sort of strawberry juice flavor and feel to this, that same slightly acidic tartness that’s left in a bowl of sliced strawberries. Impressive how much that comes through, since this tea has a lot going on ingredient-wise. The ginger is present in the beginning of the sip but in a very gentle way. It’s not very sweet, but there’s something about this blend that makes me want to keep drinking. Overall, yum!

I would never think of strawberries and ginger together, but now I’m intrigued.

I had the opportunity to try it as a sample (I have family who live in TX. They stopped by Fusion Tea’s table display, and thoughtfully picked up an assortment of samples for me to try!). This ended up being one of my favorites after a single cup! Now I regularly keep it stocked in my cupboard.

Full-bodied flavor that lasts through three steeps, and one of the few I’m willing to drink iced! I usually tend to stay away from bold fruits as they tend to be too sweet for me, but this blend’s balance works for me. Every one of my friends who has tried it has REALLY enjoyed it!

Personal prep: Boil water, 1st steep for five minutes, 2nd steep for eight.

From Travelling Tea Box C – This one did not leave a big impression on me. I don’t recall any particular flavor and it didn’t leave me wanting more as most of my samples from Fusion Tea did. I love herbals, so I don’t know if this one fell flat or got overlooked and under-remembered after my samplings.
