my tastebuds have some kind of weird block against this tea i think. every time i’ve tried it i ended up in somesort of uncertain flavors realm.

i’m not even gonna mess with a tasting note really. it was just that confusing. i’m pretty sure this tea is delicious and i don’t trust myself.

thanks to jump62359 for this memorably weird experience!

My mom-in-law bought the tea pot for me and this tea came along with it. I must say that I’m rather impressed Disney. Or whoever it is that they go through to make their teas. This is befitting of the tea drank at the mad hatters party.

The tea pot it came in was really cool and the tea tastes good. The dry smell is my favorite part though. The peach/apricot smells overwhelm the rest of the scents but in a good way. Sometimes peach can over take in a way that’s obnoxious. Couldn’t imagine flying around in one (James and the Giant Peach anyone?) The taste is also somewhat over run by those flavors. But the black tea comes out enough to mellow it down.

This tea is delicious! It’s a nice black tea with a sweetness from the apricot and peaches and ginger. I added a little of natural agave to mine and it’s fabulous.

I find this to be extremely enjoyable as iced tea. Requires no sweetening, low tannin, so it doesn’t go foul after a day in the fridge. Now if I could just get it delivered in massive quantities all on it’s own . . .

Imagine my surprise at seeing a picture I took and posted on my blog (Rosemary’s Sampler) on this site! I will accept it as a compliment, I guess. This tea is enjoyable, if you like flavored black teas!

I’m surprised to learn that this has peach and apricot in it; when I drank it it tasted decidedly fruity, but not like any fruit I could identify. There was almost a raisin-like flavor to it. Peach is usually a very identifiable flavor; I’ve had plenty of peach teas in my time and this tasted like none of them. Overall it wasn’t a bad tea, it was just kind of weird, which I suppose is fitting for a Mad Tea Party.

Had this tonight, from a tea bag. Wow. Sweet flavor without adding any sugar/honey. Tastes of peaches on a very good black tea base. Now if I just didn’t have to go to a theme park to get it.

Seems like I saw somewhere (maybe in another Steepster review) that the Disney teas are privately labeled versions from a different supplier. Or I coulda dreamed that.

Atacdad

I found a custom Adagio custom blend, (all hail the Google) http://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=60757
,that gets good reviews, albeit from only 5 reviewers. Looking at the ingredient list, I think there are few things in there that are superfluous (marigold and cornflowers), but the fruit flavors “look” right. I’ve ordered some and will report back.

The Adagio order came in. Very close, but not the same….

My fiance got me this tea a while ago and I had it a couple times before I was irresponsible and had the fine strainer for my Alice in Wonderland french press got all scummy. Since I made chai the other day, I realized that there is more one way to make a small pot of tea. Kitchen tools to the rescue!

Since it was brewing up really dark, I only let this steep for a minute which was a mistake! The flavor was really, really light and most of the flavor was in the aroma. I should have let it steep for at least two minutes or even three minutes. It still made for a nice cup of tea and I do enjoy it every time I drink it.

Sipdown (289)

Thank you Arby for sharing this tea. It is actually quite interesting because it has an apricot flavor with an underlying spice note from the ginger. The combination is really good and this would be one awesome tea if not for the base which is astringent and more prominent than I would like. Sad because the flavors here are really great. Still a tasty tea despite its base.
