Bought some of this during one of the last sales, hoping I’d like it – and I think I do. It’s creamy and lemony, with a lovely aroma. It initially reminded me of Lime Gelato, though I still prefer that tea. I did oversteep it the first time, and it brought out a bit of bitterness that I wasn’t a fan of; I’m trying to figure out how to avoid that in the future.
Found myself craving this tea on Sunday night, but I didn’t get around to drinking it until later this afternoon. I realized that, with Easter coming up very soon, it’s actually a very topical craving! The tea was good – such a bright and sweet lemon note with a creamy undertone and that soft hint of bergamot in the finish. Makes me think of the little lemon tarts that my grandmother would sometimes have around for Easter Sunday brunch, usually to take to church…
Usually memories surrounding church are not very positive for me, but there’s a sort of nostalgia to this one that doesn’t bother me the same way others do. Church aside, Easters spent with my grandparents and cousins were always really happy times.
