From DAVIDsTEA

We’re going green for gojis over here. Known as “wolfberries” in China, these mineral-rich fruits are basically the rulers of the superfood kingdom. Some say they have the ability to improve memory. Others swear by their anti-aging properties. But if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that they taste mighty delicious in tea. Here we mixed them with a feel-good base of green tea, raspberries and orange peel for a refresher that’s packedRead more

Tasted medicinal even for goji berries. Very little taste of any green tea. Maybe it would be better hot.

This is a very fruity blend. It tends to brew a dark pink color and the goji pretty much overwhelms any natural green tea coming through. I don’t drink tea with any additives (sugar, honey, etc.) and this one definitely doesn’t need any.

This tea is AMAZING iced. Perfect for a warm summer day when I’m craving something sweet. I have had it hot, and it’s still pretty good, however I find fruit flavored teas are usually at their best iced. You lose some of that tart, warm berry taste when it’s iced, which I find to be a good thing, unless it’s a flavor like blueberry pie or something that SHOULD have warm, tart berries.

Anyway, flavor wise, I get mostly goji and raspberry, but can taste the orange at the end of the sip. The hibiscus is slight, and definitely comes out to play a bit more when hot. Might be why I prefer it iced, as I’m not a huge hibiscus fan. If you are looking for a sweet tea, this one is it – it’s not cloying, but it isn’t subtle either. Definitely not one I can have more than one cup of at a time, but it’s good for what it is.

Happy steeping!
