From Chaidim

Pure Lemongrass certified USDA Organic.

Packed in a Sealed Pouch to preserve its freshness.

Lemongrass is a plant. The leaves and the oil are used to make medicine, teas, and to prepare food such as soups and curries.

Our Lemongrass is cultivated in the Northern Province of Chiang Rai, Thailand. Certified 100% Organic by USDA Organic and One Cert., no pesticides or harmful chemicals have been used to produce this magical antique herb. Numerous benefits are attributed to Lemongrass, among them, the herb is reputed to help prevent the growth of some bacteria and yeast. It also contains substances that are thought to relieve pain, reduce fever, stimulate the uterus and menstrual flow, and have antioxidant properties.

Herbal Tea Preparation: Our dry lemongrass can be easily brewed into a delightful lemony spicy flavored tea. Just add two generous spoons in a teapot, pour 95 degrees Celsius water on top of it, steep it between 10 to 15 minutes to really extract the lemony taste. Filter it, and serve in a nice cup. Hot, you can drink it plain, or sweeten it with honey. Cold, you can also chill it in the fridge for a couple of hours, and serve it in a glass filled with ice cubes and a couple of 4 inch-long pieces of chopped lemongrass leaves.

Dry Lemongrass do not need to be boiled with water, just steep it as you would do with any other herbal tea such as Chamomile or Bael. Reserve the boiled recipe for the fresh leaves.

To spice up your daily herbal tea diet, you can mix Lemongrass with Ginger. To sweeten it, you can try Lemongrass with Bael, or to obtain a nice soothing feeling for the evening, try it with Chamomile.

You will get many benefits by drinking Oolong Tea and Herbal Tea everyday, anywhere, anybody and at any age. Organic is a healthy future. Enjoy it.

Received a sampler box of Chaidim’s lemongrass teas with my subscription to Try the World box.

An herbal lemongrass tea is not something that sounds appealing to me, but I’m so glad that I gave it a shot! After steeping in hot water for 5 minutes (per box instructions), I was left with a light, refreshing yet calming brew.

The dried lemongrass looks a bit like dried bacon, celery and wood shavings, but it had a surprisingly strong lemongrass smell. It was stronger than fresh lemongrass, so I was excited.
I used boiling water and let the tisane steep for ten minutes, I know traditionally one would let it steep longer, but I was getting impatient as the aroma started to fill the room.
I found that it brews up quite nicely. If I was going to make it again I’d probably let it steep for around twenty minutes. Overall I was really surprised with this, it tasted very similar to a Tom Yum Goong, but from my understanding most Thai broths use the softer inner stalks and the tougher outer layers are used to make tea. Regardless I found this very delicious and it had a slight spicy edge to it and a sinus clearing aroma.
