From Celestial Seasonings

“This energizing boost begins with a vital core of fine green tea, fortified with highly prized Siberian ginseng. The natural flavours of soothing honey and enlivening lemon give this blend its smooth, yet complex taste. Roots of licorice, ginger and roasted chicory add even more body to the brew.”
Newer box (from 2016) says: “This spirited blend brings together traditional green tea, rare and delicate white tea for smooth taste, and a lively combination of botanicals for eye-opening flavor. We’ve also added antioxidant Vitamin C ((ascorbic acid—which I could not find on the ingredients list)) to support your everyday wellness.”

So I picked this up on a whim cause the grocery store was out of the peach white tea that I was digging. I wanted white tea so a combo? Why not. The dry bag has a little bit dusty aroma to it. A little sweet too, and if you breathe in too deep get ready to sneeze. So after brewing this the aroma of honey and lemon are very nice. The taste. After a few sips I was trying to figure out what it reminds me of. Then it hits me. Warm summer shandy! I have enjoyed this tea so much that I’m on another box. Everyday after lunch this is my brew. I have noticed that the Siberian ginseng help in fending off work stress. Loving this one.

The combination of green tea, lemon, and ginseng makes this tea a new chilly weather favorite. The flavors are a nice balance of earthy, tart, and sweet. With my second cup, I added some fresh lemon. Delicious! Celestial Seasonings has a special place in my heart: I loved the boxes when I was a little kid; the illustrations are so magical. I remember drinking Red Zinger and adding lots of honey to it. It’s always nice to discover a new blend of CS tea, and toss it into my grocery cart, and try it out. I’m glad I tried Honey Lemon Ginseng.

I’m still on the lookout for Republic of Tea’s Honey Ginseng on a store shelf somewhere, but in the meantime I spied this offering from Celestial Seasonings and thought I would give it a try. The lemon is the predominant flavour, but the honey sweetens the acidic bit of the lemon, and the ginseng is working to clear my sinuses. Luckily I can’t taste any of the licorice mentioned on the package. While this wasn’t the tea I was looking for, I’m glad I picked it up; it’ll make a nice caffeinated alternative to NeoCitran or homemade honey lemon tea for a sore throat.

This is a fine, lemony tea. I’m not familiar with the taste of ginseng, so while I might be tasting it, I’m not aware of it. It’s got a nice, clean taste.

This was one of the first greens I tried, and was a favorite for a long time. It is still a go-to when I feel like I am coming down with something.

El aroma a miel es protagonista, mientras el sabor ligeramente ácido del té verde es casi imperceptible. Es cierto que el ginseng energiza ,mas el subidón viene después de 2 tazas.

An amazing tea, one of my all time favorites. Smooth and honey-lemony. But not too lemony. Easy to drink at least 4 cups before you realize your all shaky from the caffeine/ginseng buzz. Meijer also has a great store brand version of this tea.
