From Capital Teas

This blend of delicate Sencha and spicy green Mate tastes as interesting as it looks. Think rich and decadent marzipan! Ingredients: Green tea, maté , coconut shreds, rose, cornflower petals, and the essence of almond.

I sat down with a mug of this, finished my mug, and immediately went out the door to go to the store and buy more of this. I only picked up 2 oz. on my last visit and I knew that would be insufficient.

This is GOOD. Sweetish, without being cloying. The almond comes through, and the coconut adds a bit of creaminess to the tea. Delicious and delightful. I think this would be awesome iced, too.

Alright, this is weird. I just clicked on this tea because of how pretty it looked (while I was looking at Yumchaa’s Enchanted Forest tea), and I realized that it has exactly the same ingredients as TeaBar’s (Amsterdam tea company) Zoete Amandel Thee. And it’s a rather unusual ingredient mix, too! What’s up with that? Are there some fancy tea combinations floating around the world under different names? Are there tea mix thieves? I’m confused… and intrigued!

By the way, I love Zoete Amandel tea, so if this is anything like it, thumbs up.

I once had two teas called Marco Polo – that one and another one (which actually had an ingredient list more reminiscent of what Marco Polo might have encountered!)
