Tunbridge Wells was put on the map 400 years ago in the garden of England, Kent! A traditional town based amongst all that green led the Teabird’s in Tunbridge Wells to make an Earl Grey like blend with green tea. Watch the blue & red cornflowers swirl around in your cup just like a beautiful royal English garden!

Another B+B shop blend sample from Cameron B! Thank you very much (and hope you’re doing okay). Such a beaut of a blend here. Green tea with lovely floral colors… it does look like a garden in the description. Sadly it may work better visually than taste-wise. It also mentions this was inspired by an Earl Grey, and I’m not quite seeing the connection. I would have loved if it was a floral green tea with a quality bergamot. However, this is not that. The buttery vegetal green tea makes itself known. Otherwise, a bit of a fruity flavor. The color of the brew does turn a tinge pink, but luckily that hibiscus doesn’t take over. The second steep seems a bit thin. More pleasing to the eye than the palate.

This is another of Bird & Blend’s store-inspired blends, this one being named for Tunbridge Wells. It smells encouraging, with a very tart orangey aroma.
To me, this one actually tastes like a fruit tea. I would have no idea that it’s on a green base if I hadn’t read the ingredients. It mostly tastes of orange and a bit of hibiscus.
To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed. The description calls it a “right royal, floral blend” but the flowers don’t add anything in the way of flavor. It’s also described as “Earl Grey like”, but to me there’s no comparison.
At leas the hibiscus isn’t overpowering, but I’m not personally a fan of fruit teas so this one isn’t for me.

The last of the B&B store blends, this time for Tunbridge Wells. It’s a sencha base, with orange, apple, rosehip, hibi, and cornflowers. As you might expect, it’s seriously pretty. Bird & Blends floral teas have to be some of the most aesthetically pleasing blends in existence!
I’ve been a bit wary of green teas recently, but this one was surprisingly easy to drink. I actually got through two cups without really thinking about it, although work was busy (and distracting!) this morning, so that probably had something to do with it. I paid attention for my third cup, though! It’s a light floral, with just a hint of tartness from the hibi/rosehip. There’s quite a lot of orange, reminiscent of undiluted cordial (although obviously a lot weaker) . It reminds me a bit of B&B’s Deckchair Dreaming, even though they’re quite different blends. I think it’s something about the floral background, and then the hibi/fruit contrast…and there’s something in the scent that’s similar, too.
This one’s really nice! I’m not usually a big fan of floral teas, but this one’s good.
