I feel like if you are a fan of peach teas, you may enjoy this one more than I did. There is an almost tobacco undertaste for some reason. A very small almost bitterness that may be the pistachio?

Not horrible but not to my tastes.

This tea has a lot going on, so I’m always amazed with how smooth and tasty it comes out. I made this iced today and it’s giving me a lot of lime and peach candy flavor, with an aftertaste of pistachio and maybe a bit of woodiness from the base. I believe this is also supposed to have floral and white chocolate notes, which I’m not getting. However, I’m fine with that as I think that would just be too much all at once

I love the concept and the dry leaf aroma. Mmm.. peach candies and lime blossoms. Both dry and steeped, this reminds me a bit of Buddha’s Blend from David’s Tea – floral, peachy, candy elements, but a tricky base that can get a bit nippy or fall flat underneath all the floral, fruity, candied, and roasted ingredient notes.

Besides a mixed bag of fruity candy, this one tastes a little like a signature cocktail. If I focus on the lime and the base comes out sharp it’s a margarita (predominant in first steep); if the peach and rose notes are stronger it’s a Bellini or Fuzzy Peaches (2nd steep). I don’t really pick up on the pistachios much beyond a mild roasted creaminess (and bitterness, which adds to the boozy illusion for me). The rose, peach, lime and white chocolate notes are generally more apparent if inconsistent (I don’t know what’s going on with this tea sometimes).

It’s weird, it doesn’t quite work as advertised, and has a funky mix of ingredients that never seem to come across the same way, but I kind of like it anyways.

Oh my goodness, the SMELL of this tea! It has one of the richest aromas I’ve ever encountered in a tea blend, filling my whole kitchen with a mouth-watering peach scent while steeping. The flavor isn’t quite as amazing as the aroma, but it is still quite delicious. Very peach-forward with pistachio coming through in the aftertaste. I don’t really notice the lime, but I also don’t miss it as the tea is quite lovely just as it is. The oolong makes a nice smooth base for the other flavors. This is another one I’m hoping to repurchase when I finish my sample!

This one sounds amazing in concept, however I’m finding it to be just okay…

The base tea is extremely bland, which is a shame as I enjoy oxidized oolongs. It’s not really contributing anything to the blend except perhaps a hint of woodiness. Mostly I just taste peach here, and it’s a bit candylike. There is a nice tartness to it that lingers in the aftertaste.

I’m not really getting the pistachio, lime, or white chocolate – just peach. It’s not unpleasant, just a bit one-dimensional in my opinion.

Oh well, this is why I buy sample sizes! :)

Just finished up my sample of this one, and while I did enjoy it, it’s not something I need to have in my stash. I’m not getting any of the white chocolate or pistachio that’s in the ingredient list. I get a bit of the rose, and some lime zest, but mostly a nice juicy peach. The smell reminds me of peach rings, but the taste isn’t quite as synthetic. Overall, a very pleasant, but unextraordinarf blend for me.

Not to my tastes; it’s the base tea I think I just don’t like.

Not usually an oolong fan, but the peach, pistachio, lime combo caught my interest. The scent of the tea once steeped smells strongly of peaches and reminds me of my favorite peach tea, Momoko, but with some deeper notes. I often fine a flat cardboard taste in oolongs which has been a deterrent with many oolongs, but I’m not getting that at all in this tea. I get a strong peach flavor on the sip that is really well balanced and deep. In the finish the peach becomes lighter and more floral. I can’t say that I can pick out the lime and pistachio, but maybe those are the supporting flavors that blend so well in making the peach deep that I’m not able to detect them on their own. It’s a really nice peach tea and I’m glad I decided to give it a go.

Inkling Advent Day 9. I remember ordering this tea in one of my first AU orders 5+ years ago, and I didn’t love it at the time. I’m happy to say that tastes change, and I’m enjoying this a lot more. I liked it warm. The flavors were complex and different. It was tangy in a pleasant way!

I purchased this tea specifically to have it iced. It is absolutely true to it’s described flavor profile. I had no trouble at all identifying the peach, pistachio, lime and creme fraiche flavors as well as the base oolong tea. I thought that particular flavor combination would be really interesting and it was – and so delicious! The flavors work really well together and make a very enjoyable iced tea. I like this so much I may actually try it hot as well, but for now, I am very happy with it. No need to overleaf, and following the brewing instructions produced a perfect brew. Nicely done, August!
