This tastes pretty much as I would expect from the name – like a sour green apple candy. I’m thinking Sour Punch straws… Nice green apple flavor with a whole bunch of added tartness from the hibiscus.
I don’t think this is something I would want to drink often, but it was a fun one to try, and it definitely delivers on the name IMO.

I do get sour apple from this one, but I also get other sour elements like rose hips that distract from the apple. I feel like this is a blend that’s almost there, but could use a bit more tweaking. On subsequent cups, I didn’t really get sour apple, just generic red tartness, too much tartness. For my very last cup of this, I cold brewed it, and the sour apple flavor returned! I don’t think I’d order this again, but I wish I’d cold brewed the whole package. It makes me want to find a better sour apple tea.
I’m trying to do my own sip down, so I’m not opening up any new tea flavors until I get rid of this one. I’m enjoying it, but it’s not as sour as I thought it may be. I steeped it at about 7 minutes this time, and liked the flavor, it wasn’t too bitter. As soon as I poured my cup, I added more water for a second steep and forgot about it overnight. It didn’t get bitter, so I enjoyed the cup of it this morning ;)
What a great aroma! It’s so tangy! The flavor is also tangy but it required at least 10 minuets of steep time to get to this. At 5 mins it was way too light. The color was a light red. But now after 10 mins it’s much better. The color is a deep, rich red and the flavor is much better.
This is a very unique herbal tea. It tastes strongly of hibiscus and sour apple candy. The apple flavor is rather artificial, but I still enjoyed it. It’s also a good tea for blending, which makes the artificial flavor less prominent.

I’ve had this tea a few times now… and unfortunately it is just very ehh to me. It tastes a lot like green apple jolly ranchers which is amazing for the first sip, but loses its novelty about a quarter of the way through the cup.
This is definitely a sour tea but the apple taste is undeniable.
Now, I must admit, the first time I tried this tea it was midday and I was dancing about the house with my mug and this tea hit the spot. The second time trying it however, it was near bedtime and I didn’t manage to even get more than a few sips in before no longer wanting more. Perhaps this is one of those teas that fits a certain mood and not others.

I’ve tried a few of Adagio’s fruity herbal teas and this one is my least favorite so far. I opened the bag and was overpowered by the smell of cheap perfume – way too much “natural apple flavor” added into this one for my liking. I’m usually a green tea person and this was a failed attempt at trying something new so take may review with a grain of salt.
Mmmmm!! Adagio’s Sour Apple is one of my all-time favorite teas to make iced (I don’t even want to try it hot). This tastes exactly like a liquified sour apple. On a hot summer day, it’s the most refreshing iced tea you can have. Not too strong, not too weak, not too sour- it’s perfect. And oh so tasty!
