From 52teas

Tea of the Week for April 16, 2018!

Here is where I usually talk about how I came to the decision to blend a particular blend. But come on now, do I really need a reason to craft a blend called Bananas & Cream? No, I didn’t think so.

This blend is really quite simple: I combined Bai Mu Dan and Moonlight White teas with bananas (lots of ’em) and a creamy vanilla cream essence (plus vanilla beans). The result is totally YUM!

Because white tea tends to be on the delicate side, I went lighter with the banana and vanilla so that the beautiful flavor of the tea would not be overpowered. Each sip is a lovely representation of delicate white tea, luscious banana and creamy sweet vanilla.

This one is just right for the warmer weather – it tastes amazing iced! (It also tastes amazing hot!)

ingredients: white teas

organic ingredients: bananas, vanilla beans & natural flavors

Swap Sample Sipdown! (6 | 75)

From Kawaii433!

Oh no, not another 52teas banana tea that I can’t buy! Anne sure is a cruel mistress…

Luckily, this one doesn’t make my skirt fly up quite as much as the pancake version. Phew…

It is really good though! The banana flavor is somewhat green-tasting, probably from the white tea. And I happen to prefer greener bananas, so I’m all for it! Lovely natural and authentic banana taste, with nary a Runt in sight!

Reminds me of a banana smoothie. It’s not quite rich enough to qualify for milkshake, but I like the fresher territory it’s in!

This was my favorite out of all of them, then Banana Pancakes next. lol@cruel mistress

I’m a maple lover, so it’s no surprise that I prefer the pancake version. ;)

Finally made the right one. ^^

It’s really good. It’s a natural banana. The vanilla notes go with it very well. Reminds me of the banana pudding that I loved growing up. A nice woman, we all called grandma, in our neighborhood would make it from scratch for us kids. It was loaded with vanilla wafers. This is yummy.

Flavors: Cream, Fruity, Vanilla

Yum, I wish there was something like this in the permanent collection.

tea-sipper

Oh I’m glad you finally tried this and like it. :D

tea-sipper

*I don’t know why I said “finally” when it was the same day. Yikes. haha

Kawaii433

@Cameron B: Tell me about it, I went to see if it was available and it’s gone already. bleh

Kawaii433

@tea-sipper: You’re right though. It’s a good banana!

Mastress Alita

At least you know I will never be responsible for selling out the nanner flavors. I just buy out all the Foggy Coconuts like a big jerk-face. :-P (Yes, I will finally come out and admit it was me, Cameron! I’m SORRY! It’s my favorite tea! T_T)

Cameron B.

@Alita – I understand, don’t worry! One sampler pack was enough for me. :)

Sipdown (647)!

Finished this one off as an iced latte, and it was REALLY good. Basically, it tasted like a less sweet and just slightly more natural version of that banana flavoured Penicillin. I know banana Penicillin is sort of a polarizing thing; some people loved it and some people didn’t. However, I was DEFINITELY on the side of kids that were so incredibly excited whenever they had to take it. So it was very nice to sort of get to relive that experience in a more classed up feeling way.

Very creamy. Much banana. Technically medicinal tasting – but only in the best way.

“Banana Cream Pie without the pie crust” lives up to expectations. Good times.

Steep Count: 2

Due to the nature of the bai mu dan and my brain, I taste something kind of like a blueberry milkshake on the second steep. The banana has toned it back a little from the first steep, letting the tea base (fruity flowers) and vanilla cream flavouring shine (hence blueberries and milkshake).

oh man…insane day. I had this one earlier and from what i recall it was a little light in the banana department (but that’s the story of my life) but really delcious. Vaguely recall a vanilla-y, sweet sort of flavour. More to write next time i have this one :(

Crowkettle

Hope your day calms down soon! Drinking all the banana teas is punny though (yay for banana teas!).

Additional notes: saaadddd sipdown. Still tasty and flavorful but it was time to finish it. I think this might wrap up Anne’s 52Teas banana teas for my stash and I really think I need to have them around. Banana 52Teas are a cupboard staple for me.

You should! Anne’s banana teas are the best banana teas.
