A rich blend of black teas (Assam, Yunnan & a touch of Keemun) combined with sweet black cherries, a hint of almonds (a nut-free almond essence!) & a touch of cola essence. So tasty. This makes a fantastic iced tea!
Tea of the Week for August 5, 2024!
I’ve been wanting to do a cherry cola tea for a while. In the past, we’ve done cherry cola, cherry vanilla cola, and I even did a cherry lime cola.
So I knew that I needed to come up with something unique. Why not combine a classic tea flavor (like Cherry Almond) with the cola flavor? My taste buds cheered at the idea! The black tea is rich & flavorful, with a sweet, caramel-y note of cola, notes of cherry & a hint of almond – so tasty!
This blend starts with a blend of black teas (Assam, Yunnan & a touch of Keemun) combined with cherries & a nut-free almond essence. (This blend is allergen-friendly!) Then I added some cola essence & wow! This is an amazing tea! It’s great for cold-brewing (because cola is at its best when it’s ice cold!) but it still tastes pretty good when it’s served hot.
It’s also vegan, organic, gluten-free, allergen-friendly, completely NUT-FREE & all natural!
organic ingredients: black teas, cherries, calendula petals & natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch well to ensure that ingredients are well-incorporated. Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water (205°F). Steep for 3 ½ minutes, strain & enjoy!
Or – to cold-brew, use the same ratio of ingredients (3g of tea to 12 oz of filtered cold water) in a jar or glass pitcher. Place the jar into the refrigerator & allow to steep for several hours (or overnight). Strain & enjoy!
serving suggestion: This tea is tasty served hot, but it’s even better iced. I like this cold-brewed – and I sweeten it a little (because cola is a sweet drink). Even with that little bit of sugar, it’s not nearly as sweet as your conventional cola. It’s a very refreshing take on soda!
