I had a cup of this earlier and it was fairly tasty but I will tell you it sure does make a difference BIG TIME with the temp of your water, folks! This time around I’m having a 2nd cuppa and it’s WAY darker, bolder, stronger, and an awesomely loud morning tea!
It’s a more masculine type assam – woodsy and bold – and I really like that!

I keep looking at my Upton catalog and their website. I haven’t ordered from them yet. Just looking at the black teas, the choices are overwhelming and I can’t afford everything I’d like. Fortunately they have well-priced samples, but some of their very high end teas look interesting, and even the samples of those are pretty expensive.
TOTALLY HEAR YA!!! I got the samples! I also got the Samplers for Ceylon, Assam, and British Blend Sample. I think the samples and samplers are the way to go for this reason :) Another way to try them is start a topic in discussions and see if anyone would be willing to do a Upton Tea Swap or something – that might be a good try :)
