576 Tasting Notes
Old Reliable. It’s all hot and gross outside here in MD, but once you recover from the shock of that and settle in a nice, air-conditioned locale, you get cold…and you want tea. So here I am drinking one of my faves.
Please see other notes – this is the tea I drink the most, other than my personal blends. :)
David’s Tea is quickly becoming my favorite online tea retailer. I’m pretty sure if there was a store nearby I’d visit every day, and drop hundreds, if not thousands, there!
This was a sample in my most recent order. I brewed it up last night, and added honey, as I’m battling a cold (already?!). This flavor is amazing! You can taste the spices and coconut flavor, which is unique and fun. I bet this is beyond delicious iced, but I finished up the sample last night when I brewed a larger pot of it, with the intention of sharing it with my husband…and promptly finishing it myself. Don’t tell. ;)
I will be ordering this one when I place the order for the fall collection.
Bottom line: LOVE IT! :)
Preparation
Me tooooo, I have given them FOUR suggestions in Atlanta of where to open, thankfully I have nothing more to add. Yet. If they ever use one of them I will cry. And then spend hundreds.
I live in the DC metro area but rarely travel to DC. I would for David’s Tea though! I’d even ride the Metro by myself – heavily armed, of course!
No matter how many teas I try, this is Old Reliable. I love the spicy medley and the POW flavor palette. This reminds me of fall, even though I drink it year round. I’m ready for autumn to get here – goodbye humidity, bad hair days, and weather-induced migraines! Please?
Mango salsa in a cuppa. This is a fun, spicy blend, perfect as an AM wake-up – and a sinus wakeup! I love how the chili pepper complements the sweet mango flavor. I bet this would be great iced although I enjoyed my cup hot. Didn’t need to add any sweetener – which is perfect since I’m trying to cut back. The mango chunks are sweet enough.
Backlogged – had this yesterday while home sick with Yet Another Migraine From Hell.
Carrot Cake is one of my favorite varieties of cake. OK, look, I’ve yet to meet a cake I didn’t like. ;)
I love the medley of this – allspice with a hint of carrot, and a hint of cream cheese/buttercream flavor. Because it’s oolong, I would be very careful about steeping and the temp of the water. I kept it at 192 degrees and steeped for exactly 6 minutes; I like a stronger tea. Bottom line, this is a new fave.
Preparation
I really love this cuppa any time of day. I’m enjoying it now as my tummy is being a bit mean and upset. It’s soothing and pleasant to the palate. Delish!
