Here’s Hoping Traveling Teabox – Round #5 – Tea #53
Another last serving removed from the box! It seems to be a fruity flavored white tea. I’m not sure what the fruit is actually supposed to be, but one of them is definitely citrusy. A translation of yuzu actually means some sort of citrus fruit. I’m actually surprised at how yellow this cup is for a white tea. It’s very bright yellow while not being oversteeped. The second steep is somehow even fruitier. I’m happy to have tried it, but also glad I removed the big empty pouch from the teabox.

Satsuma is similar to a mandarin orange/tangerine.
Yuzu is an ugly sour citrus fruit with lots of seeds used in Japanese and Korean cooking. It’s in ponzu sauce and a lot of candies (there’s a yuzu kasugai gummy). Plus they make sort of a marmalade with it then use spoonfuls of that in hot water to make yuzu tea. I’ve been trying to find a jar for awhile now, I didn’t even think to try and find and yuzu flavored tea. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. :D
Yuzu is an amazing citrus fruit! You can even make tea with just the fruit.
