I’ve really been enjoying this one lately—it has a surprising natural sweetness while not being one-note.

Decent but muddied, a fairly generic blend aspiring toward some sort of archetypal Darjeeling ideal without having enough personality to get there. I drink it as a maintenance tea a fair amount but rarely recommend it. Honestly I’d probably say to save your money and save for a better a single-origin Darjeeling if you have the option.

A regular brew of mine for a while now. Nutty and with a tiny bit of smoke; all-around an enjoyable brew. Has the warmth I typically associate with the best Chinese blacks. I don’t drink tea with milk/sugar but it could likely stand up to it.

Very astringent when brewed for 3:30, I’m still looking for the right temperature. There’s a definite fruitiness/sweetness lurking in the background that I’m excited to find.

The most astringent of the H&S Golden Monkey flight, has notes of wheat and beer with a much more subdued fruitiness.

Very strong fruity aroma, much milder taste.

Much smokier and woodier than the Songxi A Golden Monkey, still enjoyable.

Warm and very fruity, similar to the base “unlabeled” H&S Golden Monkey.
