I got some bags of this in a Harney and Sons sampler and I was really taken with how subtle the bergamot was. Teas with lots of bergamot have a bitter, perfumey taste to them, but this was just enough to add an amazing warm, almost vanilla-like tone to the tea.
With that in mind, I got a tin of it loose, and while I can definitely tell that it’s the same tea, the bergamot is strong enough to make it a more conventional earl grey. I might try a shorter steep time to help take the edge off. Even if that doesn’t work, this is still a really nice tea
