I really love this homey little restaurant and their delicious food. I usually eat there at least once a week with friends or relatives. They have lots of tea choices and I have tried some teas there that I have not seen anywhere else (tea flowers, white teas, pyramid teas). Much as I love the tea, their food is what I come for! Homemade breads and muffins are served with meals and they always have two soups on the menu. On even the hottest Kansas City summer day I usually start out with a cup of homemade soup. Bev has a nice mix of light and hearty food (salads and quiches to rib sticking items like roast beef and meatloaf). My favorite items are the tomato pie, parmesan chicken and cheesy potatoes, and the Keepsake Quiche. The menu changes weekly and is posted on their website so you can always try something new. They have monthly brunches and evening buffets as well as buffets for special holidays (Valentines, Mother’s Day, and Thanksgiving). I’ve been to several of those and enjoyed them immensely. A half dozen different desserts are offered at the end of every meal. Even though it’s called a tearoom, the décor and food is not so precious that you couldn’t bring a guy for lunch or brunch. I’ve even seen construction workers come and get food to go! Try this restaurant; you will love it, too!
