This used to be The Coffee & Tea Market, but they re-opened as this. It’s a cute shop with a country theme that only slightly kitschy. There are lots of small tables with wooden chairs. The two wing-chairs by the window are VERY comfortable.
I went in for a iced chai on a hot day and got a frozen one instead. It was VERY good- not overly sweet and not too heavy on the cardamon. They also have a selection of loose leaf teas from just one company that I can’t remember off-hand (maybe Culinary Teas). You can buy the tea or you can get it in a cup. They are stored in glass jars toward the back wall, but still a lot of light gets to the tea. I don’t know how well they hold up under those conditions.
The staff is excellent- very friendly and warm. They made people’s drinks exactly to order and seemed to know the local’s orders off-hand. As with most coffee and tea shops, this place seems more geared toward coffee. It’s a nice place to sit with a cuppa, but considering the conditions the tea is stored under, I don’t think they really know that much about tea. It’s nice that they at least made a slightly better effort than most coffee shops to include slightly higher end teas though.
