Great place to buy high quality Chinese teas online. Their prices are very good (although kind of strange at times) and their rewards and free sample programs are excellent. Their packaging and tins are not of the best quality I have seen, but they do their job and I like their logo/design. Additionally, their customer service is phenomenal.
Teavivre has great customer service. The packaging is really good and helps keep the tea from getting crushed and keeps the flavours and scents locked into the package. Every tea I have tried thus far has been of superior quality. Teavivre gives free samples with every order and they also have sampler set you can purchase, which is great for trying new teas. Being in Canada, shipping can sometimes be very expensive, and Teavivre has free shipping over $30. It took a little while for the package to arrive, but I was made aware of that when I placed the order. There is also a points system, where you can get points for purchases and for reviews, then these points can be applied as money towards future purchases. I will definitely order from Teavivre again.
Teavivre’s quality, packaging, and customer service are top notch. Their tea is priced very reasonably and I have always found it to be amazing quality. Shipping is quite fast from China and they pack everything beautifully (I’ve ordered glass products from them and would do so again in a heartbeat). Any questions I have are always answered quickly and in detail. I’m continually recommending them to friends, family, strangers and really love the company on a whole.
This is a great company that brings quality tea at an affordable price.
They have great customer service, good quality packaging, prompt delivery and they give points for your order that are redeemable for savings on your next order.
This company gives you a bunch of information about the tea you are buying.
I can not say enough good things about this company but I will be just saying the same thing others say about this company.
Bottom line go to their website and try one of their samples or their sample mixes and I promise you that you will not be sorry.
To be fair I have yet to find time to drink the tea I received from Teavivre, but in terms of shipping, communication and care for both tea and my needs as a customer, they are A-1. Like many others, I obtained my tea after Angel contacted me on Steepster offering free samples, which were sent out promptly, including 2 or 3 additional ones that I requested.
It took about a month for the package to arrive in Canada, which seems fair to me (and also was over Christmas, which likely slowed things down). The samples came in smaller bags within larger bags to keep them seperate and avoid smell mingling (of which there was none!). I did find the larger bags to smell very plasticky which would be offputting if the teas weren’t in seperate packaging inside but since they were it is sort of a non-issue.
Angel contacted me a few days after I received the package to inquire about it’s safety (no damage, yay!) and wished me luck with the teas, asking me to let her know if I had any additional questions. All in all, this is probably the best shipping experience I’ve had and I will certainly be placing an order with them when my tea cupboard is a little more bare.
I have to agree with other reviews, so I am just trying to add a few things that might not have been mentioned. I know everyone has posted about the great sample packaging…… Definitely a great selling point. Purchased teas come similarly packaged in a larger bag than the samples, and that is inside a sealed bag.
Other things I have not seen mentioned in reviews:
They are incredibly responsive in making suggestions for teas to try as well as being available to answer brewing questions.
Also, they want to ensure your package arrived safely. You cannot imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to receive an email from them shortly after my package arrived (yes, the wonders of package tracking….and they use it!) asking if everything was in good condition. Very good service!
I am certain I will be ordering again.
Edit to add: I did have a small order that was under $30 so I paid the cost for faster shipping since it was only a $2 difference ($5.90 for expedited, $3.90 for standard). My order got to Ohio in about a week. Wow! Also, I did not have to sign for the package to the relief of my mail carrier. She always tries to catch me at home for signing to save me a trip to the post.
I’m really impressed with this company. They are insanely generous when it comes to free samples! My cupboard is overflowing with over 20 different types of free teas, each of which has enough for at least 6 cups of tea (not including re-steeps)!!
Every tea comes double packaged, so the leaves have never arrived harmed or damaged in any way. But even if they did, Teavivre has a 100% satisfaction guarantee and refund for any shipping damage.
They provide easy brewing instructions on every tea and truly the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. I wrote one bad review on one of their teas (simply because it wasn’t to my liking, not because there was something wrong with the tea), and they wrote me a private message with all kinds of information about how they make that tea, how to brew it, etc. Truly helpful and genuinely courteous.
And to top it off, they have the best prices around! I’ve compared a lot of teas for price vs. quality, and it doesn’t get more reasonable than Teavivre. Their teas are all very high quality and quite affordable, especially when you factor in that they’re shipping directly from China. I’ve gotten charged more for shipping within the United States!
For all these reasons, I’m a Teavivre convert! I highly recommend their teas.
Thank you Angel for the samples! Packaging is good, although the box got mauled on it’s way to Canada. No worries, though, as the foil bags inside were untouched and kept the tea fresh and un-maimed. Good service, and I will likely purchase some teas once I finish these samples.
Overall Experience: POSITIVE I sent Angel a Steepster PM requesting she send a few samples from a list of teas I was interested in, and she sent me 15 grams of basically every tea on my list! Thank you Angel! Each tea was fresh and was packaged exactly as advertised on her site: http://cdn.teavivre.com/media/wysiwyg//product_packaging/teavivre_package.jpg
The tea came in one silver sealed bag inside another creative looking zip-locked bag. She is great about replying promptly to any requests. They have lots of detailed information about each tea on their website.
