I love it because of the product, but I find most of the staff tend to be too busy to tend to their customers most of the time. I prefer Davids at Uptown – but that being said, the Hillside location really isn’t all that bad!
This is the first loose tea place I went to. The staff are amazing and very helpful. I was being very high maintenance, because I went crazy and wanted to smell so many teas. The young man waiting on me was actually pulling more tea canisters off their tea wall and helping me check out all the teas. I ended up buying about 7 different teas and I do that every time I go back. Each time, the staff are super friendly and some of them remember me. I was even given a free pouch of tea on my birthday. I think it’s this location of David’s tea that got me addicted to loose tea. The staff always educate me about different kinds of tea. I also like that they have two samples available every day.
This was the first DAVIDs TEA I had ever been to, and I was definitely impressed by all the varieties. The fact that I live only about ten minutes away walking distance was also a drawing point. Convenience and high quality teas who really could resist such a match made in tea heaven? The knowledge of the employees and friendliness they have to their customers are of a high level too. It is all these details that keep me coming in at least once or twice a week to the store.
Even if it is just to say “Hi” and sample one of the newer teas on the go. It’s hard to believe its been a year already since the first time and I’ve grown to love it more each day.
This is the first DAVIDsTEA I went to, and I was immediately impressed with the selection and knowledgeable employees. I told them of some teas I liked already, and they were able to suggest teas I might like based on that. I would not have had any interest in Toasted Walnut had it not been for the SA at the time tell me that people that like Genmai Cha generally like Toasted Walnut too. I can go in and say, “I’m looking for something with ginger in it, or chocolate, or whatever ingredient” and they pull down multiple canisters til I find what I want. Sometimes I go in with a particular mood, and they help me narrow down what I am looking for. Very helpful people, here and downtown too. Looking forward to the Uptown location opening up too.
There are at least two employees who know my tastes so well they are able to suggest teas to me every time I walk in – definitely a sign of either GREAT customer service, otherwise known as a “satisfied customer will always come back”
I have yet to be upset with how I am treated, and I know that when I go in on a bad day I am bound to leave with a smile and something in a bright teal bag that will keep me smiling a little while longer.
