David's Tea Edit

This location is always really busy. Sometimes, I do find myself waiting longer here than any other location but that is probably because it is right in the entrance of the mall. This location rarely gives samples or promotes the tea of the day which is unfortunate. Also, I find that sometimes I feel a bit rushed as there is a big crowd and I dont get to smell all of the teas I wanted. The location is great. Not too far for me to go and if I’m in the mall I always pop in to try something new. I also agree with the other reviews which spoke of the staff knowledge of the product. That is one improvement I would suggest for this location in particular.

Love visiting David’s Tea. I do wish some of the employees were a little more tea savvy. Seems I’m forever knowing more about their products than some of the folks working there. Still my fav tea joint in town though, just do my own research ahead of time.

I am a big David’s Tea fan – They brought me into the world of loose leaf tea. As many already know, David’s Tea features a wall of tea tins, coded by type. Ask and you shall receive – you can smell any kind, and buy any weight. Yes, the tea can be dusty sometimes from being shipped and stored in larger quantities, but I am almost always pleased with my selections. If I’m not, it’s usually because I don’t actually enjoy a flavour I thought I might.

The staff can be pushy, but they can also be extremely thoughtful, patient with exact lists or vague statements. If I go in and ask for something with orange, I will get my options. Yum!

Fm what I tried the teas were resonably priced and fresh. I enjoyed what David’s Tea calls ‘The Skinny’ which is an organic blend/mixture of oolong, puerh, ginger and some ginseng. They claim that according to ancient Chinese wisdom it is suggested that your metabolism is sped up and block fat absorption when drinking this tea….I am no expert but I do love tea and this tea is simply wonderful if one likes ginger & ginseng. A little strong but for sure a wonderful tea anytime of the day.
The new store itself in the Halifax Shopping Centre is flashy and new…and it appears that there are always customers purchasing teas….that is good when people are drinking beautiful loose leaf teas. I do have sevearal reservations though…the teas are stored in large containers that have been observed to remain open on the counter for customers to sample the elegant aromas but to my shagrin that there are no sample or smaller containers for the ‘general public’ to sample rather than the large tins that are for general sales….I really don’t want to purchase teas that other have placed their noses into the container…just my observation. Other than that…customer svc is great…some sales people are not as experienced or versed on teas but it will come with time. Great store and glad to see them in Halifax.
