Chado makes me happy. After an afternoon at the Japanese American Museum, you can pop on by for a leisurely pot of tea. It’s not too fancy or stuffy, but the people there care a great deal about tea — and the menu just makes me smile. It’ a wall of text — with a long list of teas and odd facts about tea. I like to take friends and family here who are new to tea, as they don’t feel out of place but often get into the swing of things and usually leave understanding that the world of tea is wider than they thought.
