103 Tasting Notes
I feel really privileged to be able to try this limited edition tea! Thank you, Cavocorax!
I’ve been reading this amazing New Yorker article written after Hiroshima:

It’s very intense, but I still think it’s mostly this tea that brought tears to my eyes this morning with its loveliness. No lie. It is wonderful. I will resteep later after lunch and I bet it will still be wonderful.
Very nice! Strong black tea like I NEEDED this morning, but very smooth, like ridiculously smooth.
More importantly, I’m drinking it with a Nestle Coffee Crisp for breakfast :D !!! All from Cavo, who is the BEST.
Aww I wish we had time to see you too! I also missed seeing the beach, and we never did really have tea time, but it was a fun time and I’d do it again :) Maybe next time!
So many rose petals in this tea, and a really lovely green-black tea blend. I steeped for 3 minutes and it is very smooth and light colored and the roses come through strong. A really nice earl grey flavor that brings out the green tea flavor.
I’m afraid I’ll drink this too quickly before I can get back to Canada. Oh well, guess I’ll have to take another trip ;)
This roses-and-earl-grey mix is similar to the Adagio fandom blend of Lady Hawkeye, though that one is stronger on the earl grey and less so on the roses. Guess I’ll have to drink them both!
Apricots and sunflowers – super duper lovely in winter. And very inexpensive! Southern Season is kind of evil with all the cookies and cakes and cheeses and tea accessories and things. By evil I mean I wish I could afford all the things I want. But I can afford this tea and I want to drink all of it.
Sometimes you go to Montreal for New Year’s just so you can raid their Kusmi store for strong teas that taste and smell strongly of flowers just so you can drink them on a cold, rainy Monday in January when you’re sitting at your desk at work. Just so.
I don’t love this as much as Bouquet of Fleurs (which I also bought a tin of) because it’s so strong and so violet, but it is exactly what it says on the tin and I am glad it’s so strong this morning. I guess there is a candy smell and taste there, but there is no hint of fake flavor or sweetness. Strong taste of violets, but I love flower tea, so. Just some mornings, I wish I could give my tea a hug.
So lovely! I tried this yesterday, because Jump was nice enough to share with Shmiracles, and Shmiracles was nice enough to share with me. I knew this tea was going to be special, and it really was. Someday I will go to a Lupicia store and stock up on all the things.
Mmmm, flowers almonds rose nuts jasmine – all my favorite things! This tastes like I’m eating a nutty teacake in a European garden. Win! Thank you, Sil, for sharing with Shmiracles so I could have a taste :)
I’ve been stressed out about work, but doing lovely things like listening to opera and running and reading fanfic and planning a trip to Eastern Europe, so I can’t complain. But that’s what I’ve been doing while I’ve been AWOL, JSYK. Happy Summer Friday Shmiracles’ Birthday Day!

I love this one. So incredibly lovely. And I’m having some cantaloupe at my desk, so I’m in heaven. (I made this recipe for cantaloupe salsa and it was delicious: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2009/07/cantaloupe-salsa/)
I didn’t read Dune last night (!!!) but instead watched the season premiere of TeWo… which managed to include a HUGE fanfic trope that I have never seen done in canon before. Bravo, you silly show.
Hey, they’re 17 now! Ha. Yeah I’m hoping it’s all AUs and fandom tropes from here on out. This character will wake up a deaged pregnant genderswapped wolf with partial ownership of a coffee shop and secretly tattooed with her true love’s name. The end.
