It can be a bit overpriced, but Podunk is a nice place to escape from New York and enjoy a pot of tea — preferably with some of their pastries — on a lazy afternoon. The decor is some kind of weird Middle American vibe. The tea itself is varied and pretty good; I think they blend some of the flavors themselves.

(And a fair warning: while she’s usually been nice enough to me, the proprietor has been known to be rude to customers, especially if they break one of her unwritten rules by using a laptop or something.)
