1 Tasting Note
Dear Everyone,
I never do tasting notes, and I never ever planned to write them here on Steepster. BUT I cannot not write a note about this right now.
I think we just discovered classic summer iced tea perfection, and I need to share it with the world.
We iced up the 2013 Spring harvest of Zhu Rong Yunnan Black tea for the first time moments ago. One concentrated shot of Zhu Rong black, flash-chilled with ice in a martini shaker, then strained and poured out over ice. On a whim, I took one slice of lemon, added a squeeze, then threw in the lemon wedge. Took the whole thing out to try the first sip at our patio tables, and my eyes rolled back in my head. I am SO excited to share this with everyone who walks in the door for the rest of the summer. Malty, honey, fruity, sweet, yummy yum yum- it’s just the most perfect iced black tea I’ve ever made, and now I’m running around making glasses for everyone else on staff.
We’re releasing the Zhu Rong later this afternoon. If you decide to pick some up, please save a bit to try iced with lemon! And if you’re in the Twin Cities, please come down so I can make you some!! I can’t wait to try this in a breakfast blend or in a Zhu Rong-based chai………

AWESOME :)
Oh yum! Thanks for sharing :)
So funny…I have a picture that I took last Summer just like that! Glad to see Zhu Rong back! (You are an asset so keep your notes coming!)
I just received my order for this one, it is lovely :)
I’m glad you wrote this note! I just bought some Zhu Rong and probably wouldn’t have made it iced because I mostly drink teas hot. Now I know to try it! :)
