338 Tasting Notes
I will definitely upload a pic of the tea box and sachet later – the design is adorable! As for the tea itself, Dragon Well is my all-time favourite when it comes to Chinese tea. Or Tea’s Dragon Well is great – it has the vegetal and toasted flavour of green tea leaves, as well as slightly sweet aftertaste that every good Dragon Well should have. A refreshing tea to clean your palate!
Preparation
I can’t drink much breakfast tea because its high level of caffeine often gives me headaches. So I am glad to have found this decaf version! It tastes rather different from the breakfast teas I’ve tried before – it seems to have a nutty flavour! Quite puzzling to me as there’s no nuts in the ingredients… anyway, it’s not a bad choice if you want a night time black tea.
Preparation
As a mint tea it’s ok, but if it’s a “chocolate herbal tea” as they call it, it ought to have stronger chocolate flavour! Apart from peppermint all I can taste is some bitterness which is hardly like chocolate… it’s not unpleasant, but as a chocolate fan I am disappointed.
Preparation
Drank this tea the 5th time and I decide to up the rating a bit. I like this tea more and more – particularly the fact that it smells really sweet and enticing but the toffee flavour does not overwhelm the original flavour of black tea. A perfect balance! :)
Preparation
One of the best Earl Grey I’ve ever had. Unlike Tea Forte’s Earl Grey, it has the right proportion of bergamot. Its floral and citric aroma filled the room as soon as I poured it into the cup… hmmm yummy!!!
Preparation
Was thinking of something light for my post-dinner work… I was looking for Green St. Petersburg but then I realized there was this Rose Green Tea in my cupboard! It was exactly what I wanted because it’s really really light… the steeped tea was almost a clear liquid! The green tea was deliciously refreshing, though I wish the floral note could be stronger.
Preparation
One of the less impressive Kusmi Teas. The dry leaves smell wonderfully citric and fruity, yet after steeping there is nothing really remarkable about the flavour… I am puzzled, really. Overall I won’t say it’s a bad tea – but I did have high hopes because it’s from Kusmi Tea!
