39 Tasting Notes
I needed a little pickme up and this was perfect. I don’t generally like floral-y teas but I like this. It is light and the perfect amount of caffeine. Not much else to report here, just that I like it, I would recommend it hot (I can’t imagine it tasting very delicious cold).
NOTE TO SELF: If you need a pick me up, feeling down, sad, or the weather is bringing you down, drink this.

I LOVE this tea.
I went to my first tea house everrrr with my mom and sister in San Francisco. I had such a great time and we are all rarely together and it was just so special. It is the first gong fu style tea I’ve had also. My mom and I shared this jasmine tea and nom! It is so fragrant and definitely the most delicious jasmine tea I have EVER had.
We bought a 2 oz pack and I ordered myself a gaiwan tea set and I am drinking this as we speak. It is far too strong but I think I am just brewing it for too long. I definitely need to test it out. Right now I’ve been doing the suggested 1 minute but it’s definitely too long. I am going on my third steep so I will bring the time down. I have just been watering it down because it is too bitter. Im sure this is like against all tea laws but I did it anyway.
If you are in the San Francisco, go to Asha! I think they also have a place in Berkeley.
Flavors: Floral, Jasmine
To be honest, I am trying to get through my tea stash to buy more tea. I am pretty sure I received this along with a few others as a trial or a sampler. I don’t remember how or why but I have a couple others.
PROS
- I love that it’s caffeine-free as herbal teas are which make it perfect for night time. Caffeine really affects me so drinking anything with caffeine ever 3pm will keep me up all night.
- It’s organic! Also certified by another source which is a huge plus .
- Packaging is compostable! Love it.
TASTE
It tastes like lemongrass… There isn’t really anything else I need to mention about this tea. It’s yummy but it’s not extraordinary. I like it but I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase it again.

I am going to be honest, I thought I was going to hate this tea. I just didn’t like the idea of tasting nuts in my tea. When I steeped it, a surprising pink color was waving around it the water! I love pink tea (lol). I thought it was going to taste more cinnamon-y since that is what I smelled but it is just nutty. I actually ended up liking it more since I had very low expectations for it. Such a wonderful surprise!

Now this is a black tea that I can do. I loveeee it! The tastes are so perfectly sweet. It is definitely nutty but also with a hint of coconut (I think?). It tastes as good as it smells. I have enough for three drinks but I think I am going to have to get a bag of this stuff. NOM.
Flavors: Chocolate, Coconut, Nuts
Preparation
It has a slight taste of chocolate and orange. I added some almond milk to it. Like before, I am just not a fan of black tea. This one isn’t an exception. I just drank it because I had a three steep sample of it. I had it iced too, I will try it hot next time to see if I like it more.

Ohmygosh. This is so amazing! I received this as part of a sampler and it is my absolute favorite. I love mint tea and I looooovvvveee rooibos. Adding the two together and adding chocolate is the best idea ever. I have to get myself a bag of this because it’s so delish.

Preparation
After trying this tea, I realized that I really don’t like black teas. I never know how much milk to add and what not. Anyway, this is okay. It wouldn’t be something I pick right away unlike my other favorite David’s teas.
I added a splash of almond milk and I had it iced. It does have a hint of strawberry but it’s more black tea than anything.
Flavors: Strawberry
Preparation
This came as a sample with my order from David’s. I actually thought it was hard candy because of the way it felt in the package. Anyway, threw it in my Steeper for a while. I looovvveee the color this produces: a nice summery light peach. It poured it over ice and double steeped it (is that a thing? I’m not sure, I steeped it twice) and it was delish. It’s almost too sweet for my taste but it is definitely a perfect summer drink. This is something I would serve at a party instead of juice. Luffff!!!!
