drank Ginger Sparkle by Tealish

I had entertained trying this tea before, but I wrote it off as just another generic ginger tea. But when I came across this one in my Tealish sampler, it was love at first sniff. The dry leaves remind me of Jelly Babies. (Which happen to be my favourite British sweet)

The flavour of this tea is soft and whimsical, which I’m finding is true of many Tealish teas. It’s pleasantly gingery, but without being too strong, and somewhat sweet and citrusy.

If I keep having success with Tealish teas, I’m going to have to take a trip to their store in Toronto…
(Though it does bother me when tea companies recommend people use boiling water, even on delicate green tea leaves)

Hmm, where did you get this sampler, Jessmicka?

Jessimicka

I picked up on clearance at Indigo! Reg $32 on for $23. Tealish still has it on their website for 32. Well worth even the higher price.

Evol Ving Ness

Thank you! Do you physically go to Indigo or was it on sale online?

Jessimicka

It’s sold out on the Indigo website. You can check stock in local stores online though. If you’re in TO then you probably have better luck at finding a box. I’m in Hamilton, had to go to Burlington to get it.

Thank you. You are one determined tea shopper. :)
I totally get that.

I will see what the possibilities here are.

Although I have gone way overboard on teas in November and December. And the not-buying-tea-savings-plan began on January 1st. :)

But $23! Yay.

I did a $100 Teavana order on Christmas eve day…my husband is going to flip when it arrives!

cough I stopped into a DT yesterday and got somewhat mesmerized by the 40% off displays. Similar damage. cough

Jessimicka

Haha! I was at the mall yesterday and had to fight the urge…only because I know I’ll be buying in a few days when I get to cash in my frequent steeper points ;)

Tea literally gets me through the day. I start with something caffeinated in the morning, then usually a re-steep or less caffeinated tea mid morning and work my way to a herbal by night.

Green tea and oolong are top in my books. I recently discovered that I LOVE genmaicha – but I get why it’s not for everyone. My favourite flavours right now are lime, lavender and mint. I tend to dislike teas that have raisins or hibiscus, and I’m not fond of weak fruit infusions.

A lot of my teas come from Davidstea. I also have some Teavana and Tealish. When I can, I try to pick up unique teas. My most prized tea is a tea from Ste Anne’s Spa in Grafton, Ont called Cinnamon Glow.
