I’m blessed to have a Lupicia in my hometown and where I did my undergrad. Lupicia is definitely one of my favorite vendors for flavored and Japanese teas.

Puripan is my favorite! Their staff is always so sweet, and helpful. They have a good selection of teas, teaware, tea accessories, and jams. I always make a stop here whenever I go back to my hometown. Unfortunately their storefront as recently closed, but you can still get their teas and treats online.

I’m blessed to have a Lupicia in my hometown and where I did my undergrad. This storefront is a smaller than one in Santa Clara but it still carries the same tasty collection of teas. Lupicia is definitely one of my favorite vendors for flavored and Japanese teas.

I got the afternoon tea service here. The food was super tasty and the presentation was lovely. It was pricey for my college student budget, but still a sweet deal considering it was right next to Rodeo Drive. They have a great selection of teas and teaware, but a lot of my favorites were out of my price range.

I loved this place when it was still opened. It was so nice to sit in the garden with a pot of tea. The perfect place to study on the weekends. Mark (Dr. Tea’s) is super sweet, and it’s always a pleasure to chat with him at the bar. I really wished this place was still opened, but you can still order from them online.

I love that this place exists at the Farmer’s Market. They always have the cutest teaware and tea accessories and a fairly wide variety of teas. I always make a stop here whenever I’m at The Grove/LA Farmer’s Market.

Chado Tea Room carries a huge selection of teas, and the staff is always friendly. There some parking in the rear, but otherwise it’s street parking. The tea room may seem a little pricey at first, but it’s not as expensive as some of the other tea rooms I’ve been to in LA. Their tea selection and prices have me always coming back though. =)

Imen Shan is the sweetest teacher and tea-ist ever, and she carries the tastiest Chinese teas — especially the dan congs.

Bio

“A random girl trying to find her element. Meanwhile she’s studying nutrition, after spending her undergrad exploring neuroscience, natural health, and tea.”

Tea logging has become a rare event since graduate school, but I try to add notes whenever I try something new.

My favorite teas are milk oolong, jasmine tea, genmaicha, and an assam with milk.
