Ok I just had this again and it was significantly better. I kept it to about 3 min and 15 seconds, then added half a tsp of sugar. I find it works best if I aerate it around my teeth a little the way they taught us in wine class… a smooth gentle kind of sip that catches on your breath and glides through the mouth. I’m doing a terrible job of explaining, I know! sorry :/
Bah. Seems this is merely a finicky tea. Keeping the rating as is since I have no idea if I can get this consistently. That said, it would get a bump up to about 78. As intoxicating as it is, there is also that slight lingering/burning artificial taste.

You make me want to talk a wine course!

You totally should, it was so much fun! mine was just at a wine festival. Did you know wine has legs? :P
(its the amount it slides up & down the glass when you swirl it)

Haha awesome. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Has it made you pickier about wines? Also, do you notice a huge difference in taste based on price? I’ve read interesting articles about wine snobs, doing blind taste tests, can’t really taste the difference between cheap and expensive ones. Shows how it can be really psychological.

actually it helped me discover that I really love South American wines. and coffee actually. Something about the terroir really gets me, apparently!
It’s SO true. Some expensive wines are awful and some cheap ones are great. Same as tea lol. More pronounces in wines tho, I think.
