This was on sale. I got excited. $2.50 for a box! Now I know why.
Should have checked the reviews first…
First, the bag was too heavy for the string. It popped right off when I went to remove the bag. Not a big deal, but still, a bad sign. Oh and there is an actual metal staple in the bag. Ick.
As for the tea well it was ok enough. A bit thick and bitter even though it wasn’t steeped that long. I added cream (thats all they have where I am now) and sugar to even things out. It did help, but I wouldn’t say it was great.
Overall I don’t have a problem finishing a cup of this. But I just don’t find anything lovable there. Not even the scent, which is usually what fools me. It’s just kinda neutral. That’s what I get for letting my love for black forest cake lead the purse strings…
Damn I wish I’d listened to my head (not my tea mania) and checked the reviews here first.

I’m bad for that too. And I agree with the staple. I’ll never understand why staples were ever thought ok with a teabag.

Funny, I’m actually thinking about cutting the bag open and putting it into a strainer. One that’s been treated to not go rusty!
When will we tea nerds ever learn :P

metal staple with the tea? or keeping the bag closed?

Indigobloom

Kirk, its a staple used to close the bag of tea (the one that goes into the cup of hot water, not the one housing the bag of bags :)

Sometimes that tea mania is hard to resist! I’ve fallen culprit to its influence as well. ;)

Indigobloom

Charoma, it’s a curse and a blessing I tell ya!!
