staff is certainly well knowledge, friendly, and attractive. although I’m at first put off by the “apple store” atmosphere of the place, I can be won back by lovely strangers offering big smiles and free samples. They have a wide verity of tea that at first looks very impressive, but being a bit of a traditionalist, I was underwhelmed by small selection of pure teas. lots of original herbal mixes as well as common favorites, but also lacked selection of plain herbs, but its forgivable since they are not a spice/herb shop and do not claim to be. It has a nice soho atmosphere if that’s what your into. the crowd seems nice and nonjudgmental, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable with myself sitting there on my own on one of those lazy study days. It would be a nice place to plan a relaxing date. your better to leave your usual new yorker angst out the door, everyone is looking forward to a chill atmosphere with friendly people and a good cup of tea. over all I liked and will come again to buy bulk of the true teas.
