On my first try of this tea, I was REALLY unsure. I mean, it smelt delicious, but in a way I thought it was too sweet. After steeping it at home and adjusting amounts, however, I find that this tea is pretty much as magical as Cookie Dough (which I’m still mourning).
Like other reviewers have mentioned, the base on this one is very light. In a way this makes sense – it allows that chocolate/coconut-y/nuttiness to come through very strongly. There is rock sugar in the blend, so I recommend not sweetening it (DT lists the calorie content at 10kcal per cup, so it’s not loaded and certainly no worse than my other chocolatey favourites, Red Velvet Cake and Read my Lips). For some of you, this will be a fantastic replacement for Stormy Night.
When I’m really feeling like a sweet treat, this one makes a fantastic latte as well.

How the story goes is that one day, a feeble, weakened graduate student decided to stop ingesting so much caffeine and additives (sugar, cream, milk) and instead headed for the land of tea.

I should probably mention that I’ve been drinking tea… pretty much since I can remember. The beauty of growing up in a still-semi-Euro family! I was introduced to green teas and pu’erhs by herbalists and acupuncturists in my teens.
