I like hibiscus, but if there is hibiscus, it needs to turn into a fruit juice because that’s what it’s best as. The rooibos has more of a citrus taste, and it clashes with the natural cranberry like nature of the hibiscus.

Drinking this is like drinking hot, spiced ginger cranberry juice. It’s good, and pretty decent for hangovers, though not as effective as say Pu-Erh or Egyptian mint…as my poor last roommate may attest. Nice when you need some detoxing, but not great.

Good with honey, sugar, cream, and or straight. To me, every ingredient highlights the other: the chai spices complement the coconut, and the coconut really brings out the malty, chocolate like body of the Assam. As with any Zhena’s, you need to go through the tin pretty quickly to get the fuller flavor. This tea is very sweet, and pretty strong, so it’s astringency can be overwhelming if accidentally over steeped. When brewed in around three minutes, it’s smoother.

I’m totally biased in rating this: I love ginger, and tulsi has always helped me out with my stress. I don’t recommend it for people averse to spiciness. Organic India’s teas are more for than medicinal purposes than just pure taste, though the teas that I’ve had have always tasted good to me. The same mode of thought applies to the stress relief, might work for some people but not others.

My medicine to force me to sleep and relax….and the sedative I frequently administer to my grandmother, my last roommate, and an a practical anti-depressant for one of my friends.

Rose, chamomile, and the grass dew background of the basil pronounce this tisane. It really can be a hit or miss for people, like most herbals usually are. The medicinal effects might or might not work for everyone, but when they do, they do. Sweet rose is also one of the only chamomile blends that I will ever drink.

I really like this tea. I love the sweet, light plum flavor, and the floral creaminess from the green and white tea. This one always helps me distress with the just the right amount of sweetness to not add any sweetener. I should note that I like more natural sweetness from flavoring over sugar itself, so sugar might be needed for some to full enjoy it. There are times were I added sugar and honey to help out the flavor for a greater craving, but normally I drink it as is. I do recommend to go through this tea quickly after buying it, because the flavors do not keep very long which is one of my main complaints about this tea in particular. Worth the price when on discount.

Refreshing; a good cheaper go to for mint. The green tea blends in well as a grassy background. Sometimes, I wish that this tea was purely herbal because the mint helps me relax enough for sleep, but the caffeine keeps me up.

One of my favorites from the sample pack. The raspberry is actually pretty good against the bergamot and black tea, and the body is nice, full and sweet. I personally would not drink it every day, but something to indulge in every once in a while. That’s why it’s great with the sampler pack: it adds diversity with the Egyptian Mint, Ambrosia Plum, and Italian Chamomile. Personally, though, I prefer the Coconut Chai Black. Otherwise really good for raspberry lovers.

I liked this one. Really sweet, and does not need any sugar whatsoever. Also warming and refreshing. I am glad that I sampled this and I am not sure I would have bought it. For a chai, though it’s good.

One of the better Starbucks drinks…better than most of their coffees. If the barista makes it right, it is warming. This one saved me on a few cold days at Michigan State. The calories prevented my from freezing me to death and having a low blood sugar. I was then disappointed when they stopped serving it.

I am an MSU graduate, and current alternative ed. high school social studies and history teacher. I formerly minored in anthropology, and I love Egyptian and classical history. I love to read, write, draw, paint, sculpt, fence(with a sword), practice calisthenics on rings, lift weights, workout, relax, and drink a cuppa tea…or twenty.

I’ve been drinking green and black teas ever since I was little living in Hawaii. Eastern Asian influence was prominent with my friends and where I grew up, so I’ve been exposed to some tea culture at a young age. I’ve come a long way since I began on steepster and now drink most teas gong fu, especially oolong. Any tea that is naturally creamy, fruity, or sweet without a lot of added flavoring ranks as a must have for me. I also love black teas and dark oolongs with the elusive “cocoa” note. My favorites are lighter Earl Greys, some white teas like What-Cha’s Kenyan offerings, most Hong-Cha’s, darker Darjeelings, almost anything from Nepal, Green Shan Lin Xi’s, and Greener Dong Dings. I’m in the process of trying Alishan’s. I also tend to really enjoy Yunnan Black or Red teas and white teas. I’m pickier with other teas like chamomile, green teas, and Masalas among several.

I used to give ratings, but now I only rate teas that have a strong impression on me. If I really like it, I’ll write it down.

I’ll enjoy a tea almost no matter what, even if the purpose is more medicinal, for it is my truest vice and addiction.
