This is the most beautiful, fascinating, tea shop I have ever been. Just for that entering it and rating 5 stars because if it was just for that it would be worth the visit.
But it has an interesting, fascinating collection of tea blends, they sell by the 50 grams and the two teas (not their own blends) I got there both turned out to be very good so that is also a plus.
On the negative side, I really really wish they had sample outs of their teas. I know it gets stale, maybe little closed boxes or something, but I find it really offputting to keep asking the sales assistant to move out big heavy cannisters of tea, from high shelves even, only so I can take a sniff and dismiss it.
A nice modern style tea shop which serves tea as well. Many tea varieties (of their own brand), though sadly no samples out. But a great shop just the same.
This is competition for the most beautiful tea shop in Paris – and that competition is fierce. It is far far smaller than Mariage Frères at the Marais or Dammann at Place des Vosges, but it´s so so cute, so bijoux. And much more convenient for a tourist than I would have thought ( metro Trocadero, opportunity to gawk at Eiffel Tower from very best spot).
On the bad side, one can not just fuss around with the tea samples, which are not out one must ask the attendant by each tea. And finding the opening hours of the shop is not nearly as simple as it should be.
But the teas are wonderful, the shop very beautiful and the service lovely and helpful.
First thing, the address on steepster is wrong. This is not on central downtown area, but further afield, Avenida de Paris, 17-A (near Praça de Londres and Avenida de Roma). But steepster database can not seem to accept the correct address so I can´t correct it.
I think this is the best tea shop and tea room in Lisbon – and I have certainly been testing both these categories. It has got the widest range of teas, and acessories, for sale I have yet found, with some very interesting things indeed, and they serve practically everything by the cup or teapot, for a reasonable price. It is not too big, the shop is not too large, the decor is simple but modern, but they have lots of delicious tea, and it is a very nice place with nice staff to take a cup or be tempted by their tea selection.
Very beautiful, somewhat precious decor on a gorgeous location, with a big selection of cakes and pastries. But there is not a lot of tea to select and they bring you a cup of hot water with a sealed teabag on the side. And then charge you 5 euros for it.
