36 Tasting Notes
I got this tea (and 7 other blends) for my birthday, and last night I served it to our guests after dinner. It was well-received by all. I’m surprised by how much I like this, since I’m not usually a fan of lychee, but it works somehow. I always imagined decaf teas to taste a little weak, but this tasted very flavorful.
Will probably mix it with some Russian Morning Tea from Kusmi if I need a kick in caffeine.
Preparation
I was in the mood for something a little stronger for the morning, so last night I mixed this tea with some Kusmi Russian Morning Tea No. 24, and woke up to deliciousness. This tea is a nice medium strength (I think?) alone, and the Russian Morning tea just gives it a little more body, which I like in the morning. But really, it’s just as delicious by itself. I like it the more I drink it. It’s sweet and comforting in just the right way. I love love love the smell of it. Makes me smile when I take a sip. Butiki Teas are wonderful~
Preparation
This is a solid morning tea. The flavor is great by itself, strong with just a hint of sweetness that I can’t quite explain. Just really nice to sip on plain. Sometimes when I want to kick up some of my flavored green teas I’ll add a teaspoon of this. Don’t sure it I’m supposed to do that, but it still tastes great, so….
Preparation
Another sample from my Butiki order. Unfortunately I think the cinnamon overpowers a lot of the almond taste for me, which is a shame because I think I prefer almond flavor to cinnamon. But that does not mean this is a bad tea. It’s actually quite good! I don’t know how Butiki does it, but so far the four teas I’ve tried have all been really pleasant. I know I overbrewed this one (which is maybe why the cinnamon is stronger?) but there was no bitterness and it was still a treat to drink. Even when it cooked down to lukewarm it was still yummy. Not something I would buy, but definitely something I’d recommend to a friend who enjoys cinnamon teas.
Preparation
A sample from my Butiki order. This tea may be a little too sweet for me to drink regularly, but I’m definitely putting this on my shopping list for when I need a treat. It just reminds me of juicy fruit and summer and all that good stuff. The base tea is light and mild, and this really enhances the cantaloupe flavor. Even better than the Melon Oolong from Lupicia, I think!
