4 Tasting Notes
I got this at Second Cup in place of a Caramel Rooibos I had tried there earlier (and loved), but which they don’t seem to carry any more. I enjoyed this one as well, and it smelled wonderful! A great tea to have on a fall day. Will definitely try again when I go back to Second Cup.
I have never been a fan of peppermint teas, I’d only ever tried bagged ones before and didn’t enjoy them. I was having stomach issues though and picked up a tin of Organic Peppermint from Davids as I thought it was a healthier choice than drinking ginger ale all the time.
As noted, since I’d only drank bagged peppermints before, I can’t compare this one to other loose blends, but I do enjoy this tea, and find the scent is more pepperminty than the taste (which is good for me). I also still drink it occasionally, even though my stomach issues have passed.
I would probably re-purchase, but when I did buy it, the tin was filled practically to the brim so I won’t need to any time soon.
Preparation
I was a big fan of this tea, and had a supply both at work and at home. I like strong tea, and just found this one a little stronger than other jasmine that I had tried. Sadly, Teaopia was sold to Teavana, (which was sold to Starbucks), and they don’t seem to be carrying this blend anymore.
I wanted to review it anyway, kind of a homage.
Preparation
This is one of my favourite teas; I usually drink it in the morning when I want a break from my usual morning go to, Tetley.
I find the blend of citrus in this tea really balances out the mate nicely, and I’m especially a fan of the orange peel. I’m not sure if it gives me more energy, but it does make me feel good, which is nice before I head out on my morning commute and a long day at work.
