I’m giving it 5 stars because I really liked the concept of bringing japanese confections in Paris. I chose to sip a cup of matcha, which was really nice, and some yokan as a side which was slightly bland compared to other pastries I purchased there to eat home. The chawan was nice, felt a little odd because it was lighter than usual but the experience was really good.
I only tried tea without any foods to go with it, a white tea, and it was rather good, but being the teaset an English one the second cup was overextracted; if wanting to stick to those pots&cups (as they should! They were really cute) I would suggest steeping the leaves before serving them to prevent this from happening.
It was summer, so I was sitting outside in the really charming spot nestled between a public park, some nice buildings and the Shakespeare&Co bookshop which is a must-go in the first place. Bonus: you can see the Notre Dame towers from your spot :)
The owners are really passionate and knowlegable about tea, chinese tea to be precise, but they have a good stock of japanese and indian teas. I believe someone who is more into japanese tea might have joined the original owners.

They were really nice and answered all of my questions, the experience was really enjoyable with a traditional chinese infusion approach to their leaves. They gave me a nice card accompaning my +300 yrs old tree puerh single serving to take home with all of their infusion tips. Really recommended :)
